The new Alumni Management Team around Dirk Westermann, Vice President Corporate Relations, is completed by Laura Ermel, Head of Career Center, and Sandra Clemens, Assistant to Vice President Teaching & Alumni Management. We would like to introduce you to your new contact persons Laura and Sandra.
Laura has been supporting the Alumni Management team at our Frankfurt Campus since February 2023. After successfully completing her Bachelor's and Master's degree at ISM Frankfurt, she gained seven years of professional experience in marketing and strategic brand management and is now back at ISM in a new role as Head of Career Center & Alumni Management.
We ask Laura:
What are your responsibilities in Alumni Management?
I have taken over the leadership of Alumni Management and in this role I take care of the strategic issues, such as planning the services for our alumni, program planning as well as expanding contacts with national and international alumni.
What are you looking forward to most about your work in Alumni Management?
As an alumna, this task is very close to my heart. I would like to strengthen and expand the alumni community and thus create a valuable network of diverse, successful individuals who are an enrichment for our university and the students.
Working is only one part of life. What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I really enjoy doing sports - yoga and HIIT workouts in particular are my great passions. Of course, if you do a lot of sports, you also have to eat enough. Luckily, I love to cook and bake, especially for and with friends.
Sandra has already been supporting the Alumni Management Team at the Dortmund Campus since August 2022. After studying International Business at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Sandra worked in sales for fifteen years in various positions (from clerk to team assistant) at various companies. Most recently, she worked as a team assistant at Teleperformance SARL & Co. KG in Dortmund.

What are your tasks in Alumni Management?
I take care of the platform, I keep in touch with the alumni and I take care of the mentoring program. I also create various reports and analyses.
What do you like most about your job in Alumni Management?
What I like most is the contact with the alumni. I enjoy working with people and helping them with their concerns, questions or solving their problems.
Working is only one part of life. What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to be out in nature, so I do a lot of hiking in my free time. I am also a hiking guide in our hiking club and organize hiking camps. I also like to take pictures with my camera - especially landscapes. Other hobbies are reading, doing sports and listening to music.
